Thailand’s hippy dippy music festival is returning this December for a second year, with a whole new lineup of musicians, massages, food and hands-on craft workshops. It might all feel a little tame to festival goers who are more familiar with legendary Coachella and the rave daze that is Sunburn in India. But no matter: it’s all going down in the beautiful countryside of Thailand, which is extremely easy to access from Hong Kong.
The lineup so far includes headliners The Faint, an American indie rock band from Nebraska; The Submotion Orchestra from Leeds; and electronica musician Howie B. Even if you’re not there for the music, the outdoor, eco-friendly festival has plenty to do. Get a deep-tissue massage, get your tarot cards read, learn to whittle wood, practice yoga, or try out some small plates from award-winning restaurant Gaggan at the Theatre of Feasts.
Tickets from THB5,500 ($1,207). From Dec 17-20, 2015. The Fields, Siam Country, Pattaya, Thailand, wonderfruitfestival.com.
