Yea, ’Murica!: Bringing a touch of New York City to our shores, Brooklyn Bar & Grill is a gastropub that’s all about traditional food and drink from the U.S. of A. There are no out-there concepts or fusion dishes to be found here — just good ol’ fashioned American comfort foods in heaping portions.

Brooklyn Bar and Grill
Look & Feel: The SoHo joint takes after a classic interior with brick walls, low lighting and wooden tables.
On the Menu: The place sounds like a heaven for hangovers. Choose from dishes like sliders with slow-roasted pulled pork and crispy chicken ($115), roast beef pastrami sandwich ($135) and truffled pepperoni pizza ($145), plus seafood offerings in the form of steamed blue mussels simmered in a garlic-infused white wine cream sauce ($118). Save space for New York cheesecake ($78).

The East Side Mary cocktail
Great For: Sunday mornings, quick bite one too many drinks at happy hour.
FYI: Owner Eddy Bundro is also a mixologist. Check out drinks with a twist, like the East Side Mary — served with a slice of crispy bacon.
