Pour Me a Drink: The latest endeavour by Hong Kong’s coolest cocktail whisperer, Antonio Lai has opened the second outlet of cocktails-on-tap concept Draft Land right here in Hong Kong (the first was created in Taipei by Taiwanese mixologist Angus Zou).
Look & Feel: Draft Land is all about the drink, so expect stripped-back interiors with industrial flair – think concrete and metal.
On the Menu: Cocktails on tap, obviously, since that’s Draft Land’s stock in trade. This is all about seasonal, pre-batch cocktails served without garnish or flair, but with a dedication to craft and quality. Drinkers will be able to pour and sample a cocktail from the barrel before ordering a full serve.
Meet the Chef: Antonio Lai is known throughout Hong Kong (and further afield) for his dedication to quality cocktails. His Hong Kong concepts include Quinary, The Envoy, and Room 309.
Great For: Cocktail connoisseurs, and those who can’t wait to try out cool new innovations.
FYI: You can soak up the booze with a short menu of simple, street-food-style bar snacks served on skewers.
