So, why 50? Behind the name is the exact number of beans it takes to a make a fresh shot of coffee (18 Grams).
On the menu: Aside from delicious chocolate croissants and brownies, there is an entire brunch menu at Why 50 that sees Australian breakfast lovers traveling all across Hong Kong to devour. Picture: Avocado tartine, avocado on sourdough served with egg and ham or salmon, fresh fruit granola bowls and a perfectly balanced reuben served with a side of tomato salsa.

The perfect Italian breakfast: A cappuccino and something sweet. Photo: Joseph Lam
Look and feel: Young, a little hip and kind of like your average brunch spot — a stronger focus on food and coffee is in place.
Great for: A weekend brunch, a little freelance work by the window (power points are plentiful) and even enjoying a cup of joe with the pooch.
FYI: The cafe has recently changed hands, so we’re eager to see what changes will come from this.
